Greetings from New Jersey Firemen's Home

On Saturday evening, 3/13/2010, during the storm that hit the East Coast, the Home’s roof above Dorm A became displaced. Through the efforts of the Home’s staff, we were able to maintain a safe and comfortable environment, while systematically relocating 9 of our residents with only minor interruptions to their daily routine. Currently all efforts are being made through the Superintendent’s Office, with the assistance of Oscar Dutch and the other managers, to re-open this dorm.

We thank the Boonton Fire Department and all the managers, especially Tom Murray (Union), Harry DeDreu (Morris), Harry Strube (Gloucester) and Jim Foran (Hunterdon) for all their efforts during this trying time.
